Sue Baker is delighted to accept the invitation to be a dragon at the Bournemouth University  Dragon's Den event on 4th May 2010. This event brings to a conclusion a 10 week assignment for over 400 students at the BU Business School. Having been randomly assigned to teams and challenged to come up with entrepreneurial ideas. They have developed their strategic plans guided by evolving instructions and information with a zinger or two thrown in. They are given only 5 minutes to present their plans to the dragons on 4th May. 

 

Magus is the brainchild of Sue Baker, of Clarity Business Financials and John Cardwell, of Mayfield Management Consultancy. Each has many years experience in both private and corporate businesses as well as directing entrepreneur business development.

Launched earlier in 2009, Magus provides a variety of stimulating, interactive experiences for local entrepreneurs. "The response since our launch has clearly demonstrated the demand for an initiative like Magus, explained Sue. "Entrepreneurs often learn best from practical experience rather than just listening in traditional training environments. Providing such environments is our speciality."

John Cardwell commented further: "Magus offers peer group interaction, support and development in a flexible and business-focused format. Essentially, we put collective heads together for practical, measureable results."

"Making Innovation Happen" will be held on 15th October at The Connaught Hotel, Bournemouth.

 

Dorset law firm Ellis Jones Solicitors is sponsoring the group's launch which will be held in Bournemouth on Wednesday 21st July.
